Become an ambassador for neglected and abused animals by volunteering with Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue. This is the perfect volunteer opportunity if you’re interested in meeting new people who care about animal welfare as much as you do.
We always welcome volunteers to help with feeding, cleaning, and playing with the animals at the shelter on the reservation.
In the Fall, we need help winterizing kennels, moving straw bedding into dog houses, and cleaning and repairing the shelter and kennels. In the Spring, the plastic on the kennels is removed along with the straw.
It’s about a five-hour drive from the Cities to the shelter. There is a separate bedroom and bathroom for volunteers located in the house where the cats are kept. There are also low cost hotel rooms nearby.
We always need volunteers to help at our spay/neuter/vaccination clinics on the reservation from April through October. Please check out the Clinics page for more information.
In the Twin Cities, we need people to:
- Transport Animals
- Transport Supplies
- Network for Donations
- Write Thank You Notes
- Enter Info into our Databases
- Write/Edit our Newsletter
- Research and Write Grants
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how you can become a volunteer and make a difference with Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue.
