Red Lake native, Karen Good, founded Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue in 2006. She was both a teacher and a principal during her 21 years working with at-risk kids on the reservation. Through her efforts for companion animals Karen has won recognition and awards of excellence.

Karen together with a grassroots group of local community members including Jo Tallchief, Polly McMaster, and Carol Priest are responsible for saving and bettering thousands of companion animals’ lives and reducing future suffering by decreasing the number of unwanted litters through spay/neuter.
Polly McMaster also received the MN Snap Angel Award in 2013.
There is a metro support group of volunteers in the Twin Cities who provide supplies, transport, shelter, financial, technical, foster, and clinic support. All of which are critical to RLRR’s success.
