Founder Karen Good & Board of Directors

KarenAwardRed Lake native, Karen Good, founded Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue in 2006. She was both a teacher and a principal during her 21 years working with at-risk kids on the reservation. Through her efforts for companion animals, Karen has won recognition and awards of excellence.

Board of Directors

Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors including Patricia Kounkel (Chairperson), Lorri Hawkins (Secretary), Karen Good (Treasurer), Engress Clark (Member), and Lynn Mecum (Member). The Board meets quarterly and is responsible for saving and bettering thousands of companion animals’ lives and reducing future suffering by decreasing the number of unwanted litters through spay/neuter.
We also like to thank Polly McMaster, Nokomis Paiz, Nancy 0’Sullivan, Kim Williams, Carol Priest, Jessica Thompson, Denise Luke and Jo Tallchief who served as our previous board members.

 

Polly
Polly McMaster was a vital part of Red Lake Rosie’s Rescue, Inc and won the MN SNAP Angel Award in 2013. Polly sadly passed in August, 2015 and shall always be remembered by all the people and animals her life touched.

There is a Twin Cities metro volunteer support group who provide supplies, transport, shelter, financial, technical and clinic support – all of which are critical to RLRR’s success.
